Polar expedition seasons
Artic Season
Explore Greenland, Svalbard, the Canadian High Artic, Russian High Artic, and the North Pole. Experience the Midnight Sun in Greenland from June to August. See polar bears in Svalbard May to July as the ice melts just enough for ships to navigate. See seldom-visited remote destinations in the Canadian High Artic from late August to September when the ice packs have receded.
Antartic season
Discover the 7th Continent during Antartica’s summer which extends from November to April. The pack ice begins to melt in November and December illuminating the snow-covered landscape. Rocky headlands emerge in December to February as penguin chicks are hatching and glaciers calving. Ships can explore even further south February to March as the ice packs continue to recede and sighting of humpback whales, minke, and killer whales are plentiful.
